Energy Strategy - Future of Hyderabad

Energy is the prime mover of growth and development. Its important to formulate a sound energy strategy is important of Continent, Country, region, state or a city.

This is a Blog to Raise the issues of Energy Strategy and its impact on Development of Hyderabad and adjacent Rural Telengana region.

As child growing up in Hyderabad in the 70's all the way to late 90's, Power shortage, Black outs(current cuts - as referred in Hyderabad) and Brownouts(low voltage current) were a common place.

During late 90's and early 2000's the the y2k and the internet boom along with progressive government policies created demand for IT services from Hyderabad.

The Overall employment scene improved and it created a sense of pride on the World stage for the Brand Hyderabad.I am sure one would agree , We have been seeing fewer power cuts in Hyderabad during this period.

There is a need to create the vision for Hyderabad to continue the IT-led transformation and economic prosperity triggered since late 90's.

I have been following the Arguments about future of Hyderabad as a integral part of Telengana, joint capital of Telengana and Andhra or as a Union territory.

No matter whose vision prevails or what happens in the larger context, The Fact remains that Hyderabad needs to remain vibrant and relevant for the greater good of the country.

To this effect, The need of the hour is to create sustainable sources of energy to fuel the continued prosperity of Hyderabad and spill over effect in terms of development of adjacent telengana region.
